No Show Tracking (Now with Fee Options!)

Managing bookings and reducing missed opportunities just got easier with No Show Tracking in Whoosh. Whether it’s an individual or a group, you can now mark no-shows directly in the system—and even charge a fee to help mitigate lost revenue.

  • Individual No Shows: To mark an individual player as a No Show, simply open the relevant booking details and select “Mark No Show” next to their name. Once saved, the player will no longer appear on the tee sheet.
  • Group No Shows: For an entire group, open the booking details, click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, and select “Mark Group No Show.” This will remove the group from the tee sheet, freeing up the tee time for another booking.
  • View No Shows on Close Out: Track your no-shows at the end of the day in the Close Out screen. Under the Summary tab, expand the Bookings menu to see a tally of all no-shows.

Charge No Show Fees

Take it a step further by enabling No Show Fees to recoup revenue from missed bookings, pictured above. Here’s how:

  1. In your Square account, create an Item and Item Variation for your No Show Fee.
  2. In Whoosh, navigate to Settings > Customer Booking Settings, toggle Charge No Show Fees to Yes, and enter the fee amount.
  3. Select the Square Item and Variation you just created.

With this setup, no-show fees are automatically applied when a player misses their scheduled time, ensuring fairness and reducing future no-shows.

Enable Waitlist Functionality 

Is your tee sheet filling up fast, leaving potential bookings on the table? Our new Reservation Requests feature helps you capture every opportunity and not miss out on revenue. Now, customers can add themselves to a waitlist for their preferred time, and if it becomes available, it’s just one click for staff to confirm their reservation. Here’s how it works:

  • Customer Convenience: From the Whoosh Booking app on mobile or desktop customers can easily join the waitlist for a preferred time and will be notified when their request is approved, and they've made their way onto the tee sheet. 
  • Streamlined for Staff: Staff will see a clear icon on the agenda indicating a reservation request. With a simple click, you can assign the time, adjust as needed, and notify the customer instantly.
