Membership billing has been one of the most common onboarding blockers, and this release addresses it directly. Subscribers can now bill on their own cycle, platform migrations no longer require prorating new customers onto an existing date, and staff have new controls at the point of assignment. The release also adds tiered event pricing by customer type, custom labels throughout the app, promo codes, and hole count and pricing on golf booking confirmations. ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏                                                                                                                                                                                                       ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏  ͏

Membership Rolling Billing Dates

Memberships can now bill on their own cycle rather than a shared, facility-wide date! Set a package to "Date of Purchase" billing, and each subscriber is charged the full amount on the anniversary of their signup day, with no proration. Facilities that prefer a single shared billing day can keep that model, and existing memberships were migrated without any change in behavior.

During implementation, and for those coming to Whoosh from another platform, staff can now set a billing reset day, first billing date, and access start date per member, so no one gets double-charged or loses access during the transition. Additional controls include the ability to waive initiation fees for migrated customers and to immediately cancel a membership that was already scheduled to end at cycle close.

    Promo Codes

Facilities will soon be able to create promo codes that customers enter at checkout on their own, with no staff involvement. Set a percentage or fixed-amount discount, limit it to specific rates, cap total and per-customer usage, and tie it to a date range and specific facilities. This feature goes live September 1.

Event Charges Related to Customer Type

Facilities that charge different rates for the same event based on customer type no longer have to manage that manually. Each sign-up window on an event can carry its own charge, and Whoosh matches customers to the right rate automatically at registration. Charges can be set as visible to everyone, selectable by the patron, or restricted to staff and admins only. Existing events were migrated into the new model without any change in behavior.

Custom Labels for Events, Lessons, and More

If your facility uses "Programs" instead of "Events" or a different term for instructors, you can set those overrides from a new Verbiage page in settings (Admin > Verbiage). Overrides apply immediately, and any field left blank falls back to the Whoosh default.

Custom Labels for Events, Lessons, and More

Patron-Facing Names for Bays and Courts

Similarly, facilities no longer have to choose between the naming that works for staff and the naming that works for customers. An optional patron-facing display name can now be added to any bay or court in configuration, and it appears in the Whoosh app and in booking and lesson confirmation emails. When the field is left blank, nothing changes.

Patron-Facing Names for Bays and Courts

Golf Booking Confirmation: Hole Count and Pricing Added

    Golf Booking Confirmation:

    Hole Count and Pricing Added

Customers now have a complete record of what they booked and what they paid in the confirmation email.

Adding the hole count removes the most common reason patrons open the app after booking, and showing the total gives staff and customers a shared reference when a rate question comes up. Transportation icons in the confirmation template have also been corrected.

    Agenda Card Updates

Staff can now read a booking's check-in status, note contents, and recurrence position right from the agenda, without opening the booking. An indicator shows whether a group has arrived, hovering the note icon on desktop reveals the note in full, and recurring bookings show their position in the series (for example, 5/20) instead of the recurring symbol. Facilities with multiple lesson types can also set a short display code that replaces the generic "LESSON" badge on the card.

We value your feedback! All of these features are a result of feedback from our customers. If you have ideas or questions, please reach out to support@whoosh.io.
