Recurring Lessons and Bookings
We're excited to announce Recurring Lessons & Bookings, a new feature that cuts out the repetitive scheduling work your staff does every week. When a golfer books the same lesson every Tuesday or holds a standing court or bay reservation, you no longer have to create each session individually. Staff can set up the entire series at once, spot conflicts right away, and move on.
The setup is simple: Open any saved booking or lesson and open the overflow menu (the 3 dots in the top right corner) and Click "Make Recurring".
A few additional notes:
Only staff can create recurring series; members can edit individual sessions but can't make their own recurring bookings
Editing one session in a series doesn't cascade to the rest; staff can also change recurrence rules from any point forward
Flexible patterns supported: repeat every X days, weeks, months, or years; weekly lets you pick specific days; monthly lets you choose a date or a relative day (e.g., 2nd Thursday)
Bay/court double-bookings block the save and force resolution; instructor conflicts surface as a warning but don't stop you
Players can see their full recurring schedule in their account and their position in the series (e.g., "Recurring: 2nd of 6")
Event Updates
Beginning today, patrons will be greeted by a new flow when registering for events. This change is intended to streamline sign-ups and ensure important information is crystal clear: who they registered, what they owe, and when payment is due. Event pages are now easier to read, with clearer pricing, capacity, and countdowns that show real dates.
Alongside the new registration flow, we've added two features that close the loop on event payments:
Customers can now pay (or save a card on file) at the moment they register, and staff choose how each event collects payment: no payment, a card on file, or full payment up front.
Staff can also charge event groups directly from the staff app, in the same POS flow they already use for everything else. The result is fewer unpaid registrations, less manual follow-up, and no more reconciling registrations against outside transactions.
Questions about any changes to events or pre-payment options can be directed to our support team: support@whoosh.io.
Half-Count Restrictions Added
Golf courses can now count 9-hole rounds as half-rounds against booking restrictions. Available to all clubs today, simply toggle on the "Half Count 9-hole Rounds" setting within your booking restriction, save the rule. Once enabled, each 9-hole round a patron plays will count as 0.5 toward their total rounds instead of 1.
We value your feedback! All of these features are a result of feedback from our customers. If you have ideas or questions, please reach out to support@whoosh.io.
