Issuing Rainchecks

We’ve introduced a faster, simpler way to manage rainchecks. Staff can now issue a raincheck directly from a booking, select how many holes to credit, and assign it to the appropriate player in just a few clicks. Courses can turn on, and set expiration rules within Facility Settings. 

For golfers, rainchecks automatically appear as a payment option at checkout when prepayment is enabled, making it easy to apply the credit toward a future round and pay any remaining balance.

Easier Punch Pass Redemption

Previously, punch passes could only be redeemed by staff at checkout, which created friction for facilities offering benefits like one free simulator hour per day or one complimentary cart per month. Now, customers can apply their punches directly when booking through Whoosh! The result is fewer manual steps for staff and a smoother redemption experience for customers.

Reminder that punch passes are created within your club admin settings. If you do not see this option in your settings, please reach out to support@whoosh.io to turn on this feature.

We’ve also introduced auto-application: if a player has a punch pass that applies to an item in their order, it will automatically be applied at checkout. If another player in the group has a transferable punch pass that could be used, it will appear as an available option to apply. Auto-applied punches can always be removed or swapped if needed! 

Faster Event Check-In

For clubs using event check-in, staff can now check in the entire roster with a single click. No more tapping through names one-by-one.

More Flexible Event Display Times

To reduce confusion around event timing, staff can now override the default event times shown to players. This ensures they see the most relevant, accurate timing information at the moment of booking. For example, an event block runs from 9AM to 12PM but the actual event is a 10AM shotgun, staff can now display “10AM Shotgun” instead of the broader block window.

Clearer Booking Confirmation Emails

Based on club feedback, we reviewed every notification and made thoughtful updates to reduce confusion and better reflect how your club operates.

Updates Across All Booking Confirmations

• “Players” continues to be used by default, but should you have a custom override that will be used instead. 

• The "Owner" field has been switched to "Booked by” for better context

• “View Booking Details” is now “Edit Booking” for easier action

• Footer now directs members to the appropriate Department staff for questions

Dining Confirmations

• Displays Location when multiple dining venues exist on property

Lesson Confirmations

• Adds the player’s email and phone number

• Includes the specific Lesson Type

The result: fewer questions, more accurate details, and confirmations that feel tailored to your club. This is already rolled out for all current customers!
